Kari Prevost
General Counsel/Vice President of Organizational Development

Kari Prevost serves as General Counsel and Vice President of Organizational Development for H.G. Fenton Company. As General Counsel, Prevost provides legal analysis, strategies and solutions for all H.G. Fenton Company activities including acquisitions, entitlement, development, leasing, commercial and residential property management, operations and other real estate transactions. In addition, she is responsible for the organization's insurance and risk management.

As Vice President of Organizational Development, Prevost leads the development and execution of the company's human resources strategy to contribute to the achievement of the company's short- and long-term organizational goals. Prevost is responsible for leading the strategic aspects of the HR department in a manner that will contribute to the company's ability to achieve its mission, vision and annual objectives. She also ensures that employment-related policies and practices are in compliance with applicable employment laws.

Prior to joining H.G. Fenton Company, Prevost was a senior associate with the law firm of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble & Mallory in San Diego where her practice encompassed all aspects of commercial real estate development, with a specialty in land use matters.

Prevost graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bucknell University with a degree in business administration. She received her Juris Doctorate Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University and is a current member of the San Diego Bar Association. She is licensed to practice law in California, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Prevost is a prior board member with the San Diego Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Development Association (formerly known as NAIOP) where she was also co-chair of its legislative committee. She is also a prior board member with After School All Stars, an organization that provides after-school programs for San Diego youth.
