H.G. Fenton Co. CEO Mike Neal is one of five professionals in the state tapped for induction into the California Homebuilding Foundation’s homebuilding 2018 Hall of Fame on June 26 at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco.

The CHF Hall of Fame gala celebrates and recognizes individuals who have left an indelible mark on the homebuilding industry through their innovation, leadership and philanthropic contributions with an annual dinner and formal induction ceremony.

Neal joined H.G. Fenton in 1988 and is considered the chief architect of the company’s real estate emphasis and growth. Under his direction, the privately held organization is one of the largest real estate owners and developers in San Diego County.

As the first CEO hired from outside the Fenton family, Neal grew the company’s residential real estate portfolio from nothing in 1998, to today’s 16 apartment communities, and supporting more than 1,250 local businesses through its 4.5m sq. ft. of commercial property.
