H.G. Fenton Company is committed to providing the people of San Diego with quality places to live and work through the acquisition, development and management of well-located and well-maintained industrial and residential communities throughout the county.

Founded in 1906, H.G. Fenton Company is one of San Diego’s oldest, privately-held companies and its efforts remain strategically centered in the San Diego County region.  The company’s current real estate portfolio includes more than 3 million square feet of industrial, warehouse and R&D space and more than 2,500 apartment homes in nine residential communities.

H.G. Fenton Company strives to meet the expectations of its commercial tenants by providing them with a variety of space options in key locations throughout the county and providing them with a high level of service and business environments they can be proud of.  The company is committed to meeting the needs of its commercial tenants over time.  Through its sizable portfolio, the company is able to respond quickly to tenants who have outgrown their existing space or who want to locate in a different area of the county. The company’s development team is able to customize tenant improvements to specific requirements, and is well known for its build-to-suit to lease or own capabilities.

In addition to providing a variety of existing space options in virtually every submarket of San Diego, H.G. Fenton Company is nearing completion on the development of the last lot available in Mission Valley Heights, a 1-million-square-foot business community in Mission Valley; has just begun the first phase of construction in Fenton Technology Park, a 1-million-square-foot-plus master planned campus in Sorrento Mesa; and has several existing multi-tenant and build-to-suit opportunities in progress or about to start in Carlsbad.

H.G. Fenton Company has also strategically grown its residential portfolio through the acquisition of eight existing communities in San Diego County and the recent development of Portofino, a 396-unit neighborhood located across from Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley. The residential management division is dedicated to providing residents with homes and communities that offer the right combination of comfort, amenities, location and lifestyle. Additionally, the company recognizes the importance of meeting the needs of residents through attentive maintenance and responsive service.  This is reflected in the high renewal rates at H.G. Fenton Company communities as well as its national recognition for achieving a high level of resident satisfaction.

Over the years, H.G. Fenton Company’s leadership in the business community and real estate industry has been matched by its contributions to the people of San Diego through the donation of labor and materials for many of the City’s most valued public resources. These include the San Diego Wild Animal Park, ARCO Olympic Training Center at Eastlake, Mission Bay Park, San Diego Zoo, and, recently, the new San Diego branch library in Mission Valley and recent extension of Camino Santa Fe, a vital and much-needed north-south connector between Mira Mesa and Sorrento Mesa.

At H.G. Fenton Company, our managers and professional staff believe in the highest operational standards. We are a team that can be counted on for always doing what we say we will do.
