THE SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE: The Building Industry Association of San Diego celebrated the best in San Diego architecture, design and building during its eighth annual Icon Awards ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Westin San Diego hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter. With TV news anchor Dan Cohen of CBS News 8 as master of ceremonies, more than 500 top builders, trade professionals and associated members honored winners in architecture, design and execution in 32 categories.
